If you want to discover some (un)familiar part of the Netherlands, and do some sightseeing, then you must try our Thema-rit. Every year a nice ride-out is plotted, somewhere in the Netherlands.

This year we have the theme of "Glass City". With this theme we take you along the glasshouses that form the haert of the Dutch Export in tomatoes, cucumbers, flowers, etc. The territory that surrounds the city of Delft is called the "Glass City" because of the many glasshouses that are situated there.

If you want to stay on the campsite overnight, than you have to arrange that by yourself. This is not included in the arragement of the touring event.
The cost for one night will be around 8-10 euro's (around, because the prises for 2009 are not available yet)

On the campsite you can buy drinks and simple snacks. The nearest supermarket is in the village of Schipluiden.
About 160 km.
Touring event on-road In the area where the campsite is situated there are several possibilities to take nice walking trips. Ypou vcan find more information about that in a leaflet. Downloadable by clicking on this link. DOWNLOAD WALKING TRIPS. The nearest one is Route number 3, called "Zicht op Vlietlanden". We are very sorry but the leaflet is only in dutch.
Touring event information. "Glass City". With this theme we take you along the glasshouses that form the haert of the Dutch Export in tomatoes, cucumbers, flowers, etc. The territory that surrounds the city of Delft is called the "Glass City" because of the many glasshouses that are situated there. The route passes several times the boarders of the historic city of Delft. If you want to visit this city, be free to do so.

The 2004 ride took us through the 3 big river areas in the centre of the Netherlands.
Our chairman Jan on one of the many ferries across the rivers.
We always try to start on or near a campsite, so the participants can stay the night before and/or after the ride-out (at their own costs).
